About This Demo
The Sacrifice is a turn-based puzzle game set in 17th century Salem, where you control two characters simultaneously, Sarah and the Gatekeeper. Play through 30 levels of the of the full game filled with clever and unique puzzles, and break the seal that keeps your lost daughter trapped.
Ignite the Fire!
The gates of Salem are waiting. Only those who are wise enough will be able to cross them.
A unique take on the genre!
Your goal is to guide the gatekeeper to the golden rune. You only have a couple of turns to do that so plan ahead!
Escape Death!
Death looms at every turn. Stay one step ahead of danger as you guide Sarah and the gatekeeper through treacherous puzzles.
Outsmart the game!
The Sacrifice is all about unique puzzles and unique mechanics. With over 120 levels in the full game, you will have to think twice and strategize your moves carefully.

Install instructions
1. Download the Game
After purchasing or downloading the game from Itch.io, the file will be saved in a .zip format.
Example:
The Sacrifice Demo V1.6 - Windows.zip
2. Locate the Downloaded File
Once the download finishes, find the .zip file in your Downloads folder (or the folder you chose for downloads).
Example:
C:\Users\YourName\Downloads
3. Unzip the File
- Right-click the
.zipfile. - Select Extract All... from the menu.
- Choose where you'd like to save the extracted files (you can leave the default option).
- Click Extract.
After extraction, you'll see a new folder with the same name as the .zip file.
4. Run the Game
- Open the newly extracted folder.

Amazing puzzle game! I highly recommend everyone to give it a try and challenge themselves to solve all the puzzles. For the tryhards out there, there are also some interesting ways to achieve perfect solutions. Good luck and have fun!
